7th North Carolina Cavalry Battalion

6th North Carolina Cavalry Regiment was officially organized by the consolidation of the 5th and 7th North Carolina Cavalry Battalions. The unit was also known as the 65th North Carolina Regiment-6th Cavalry and the 65th North Carolina State Troops.
