The purpose of Jesus Christ
 
*Luke 4:18-19. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
*Matthew 18:11. For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
*Luke 19:10. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
 
Jesus did not come to judge us or the world, but to save us

*John 3:17. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
*John 12:47-48. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
*Luke 9:56. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them..
 
Jesus came to save us from our sins

*1 Timothy 1:15. This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
*1 Timothy 2:4. Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
*Titus 2:11-15. For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
 
Jesus came to destroy the power and works of Satan, aka Devil and Lucifer

*Matthew 5:17. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
*John 10:10. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
*Hebrews 2:14. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
*1 John 3:8. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
 
What is the purpose of Jesus for us today

*Romans 8:28. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
*Ephesians 1:11. In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will.
*2 Timothy 1:9. Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.
*1 John 3:8. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
 
Jesus calls us to repent

*Luke 5:31-32; Matthew 9:13; Mark 2:17. And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
*Luke 13:3, 5. Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
*Acts 17:30. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent.
*Romans 8:1. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
